LadyBug Birthday!

I made this card a while ago for my sister-in-law's birthday, I just never got a chance to post it, so I am now.
ALL paper is from The Paper Company's Value Packs.

I started out with a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" brown cardstock, and folded it in half for the base of my card.  For my first layer I used a piece of black cardstock cut at 5 1/4" x 4".  I then layered a piece of light blue cardstock cut at 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" on the top half of the black and a piece of green cardstock cut at 2" x 3 3/4" on the bottom half of the black, I attached them both using my ATG gun.  Then I wrapped a piece of brown grosgrain ribbon around the whole thing to cover the "seem" where the two pieces met and secured it on the back using regular Scotch tape.   Then I used my ATG gun to attach the whole thing to the base of the card.

I cut my ladybug at 3 1/2" from the "Create a Critter" cartridge using my Cricut Expression.  I attached it to the card using 3-D Dots.  The sun I cut at 1 1/2" also from the "Create a Critter" cartridge, and attached it with a 3-D Dot as well.

To finish off my card I used a stamp from My Pink Stamper's Birthday Crazy set for my sentiment with a Stampin' Up! Classic Chocolate Chip stamp pad.

I hope you all enjoyed this card, I know my sister-in-law did!!!
Happy Crafting!!!!

Ice Cream Card

I am so proud of this card!!!  I had an overwhelming sense of accomplishment when I finished this project.  I made this card for Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday Contest.  The challenge was to make a project incorporating ice cream, cold drinks or just any cool treat.  It took me a couple days to get it right but I finally got it finished up last night and so I wanted to share it with you all today!!! I started with a 5.5"x8.5" piece of card stock folded in half for the base of my card.  It was a piece of brown from The Paper Company's Natural Fashion Colors value pack.  Then I cut a piece of dark orange from the same pack at 5 1/4" x 4" and used it for my first layer on the card.  I attached it using my ATG gun. Then I used a piece of paper from DCWV Animal Crackers matstack and cut the bowl.  The bowl is from the Cricut cartridge "Create a Critter" and I cut it at 3" using the real dial size button.  Also from this cartrid...

Ok loyal followers, guess what??!!!  After 7 days we finally made it back to the states.  We are in Bangor, Maine right now.  we drive out tomorrow morning to head to Dover, DE to pick up the rental car that we reserved when we thought that would be where we would land.  Then, from there, we will be driving to Upstate NY to spend time with my family and then over to Ohio to spend time with my in-laws. It has been a really rough trip so far and we are just looking forward to some nice relaxing time with our families!!! I hope you are all having fun with your crafting!!!!  I'm missing my crafting stuff sooo much right now!!!  Happy Crafting!!!!
